Saturday Night Out

Last Saturday, together with my friends Reena and Clarisse, I watched the musical The King & I.

image

I don’t have a lot of photos because my phone ran out of battery but here’s one from Clarisse.

image

The musical started at 7pm and ended at 10pm. Yes, it was kinda long. Though I don’t really know how long musicals take, so maybe it’s normal haha. I didn’t really have any idea about the story but in the end it was a good show, and it was funny! The lead actress is actually a friend of my mom’s, too bad she didn’t get to watch it! Also my grandma, since she really wanted to see the play. Oh well, there are next times!

After the show we decided to ate at Krazy Garlic but it was full, so was UCC, and so we ended up eating at Stackers.

image

Look at what I ordered! It’s a piggy bun. Some part of me wanted to order it because of the bun hihi. But no, I’m not that shallow. I wasn’t really that hungry since I also ate before the show, so I just ordered a meal that is not that heavy. Plus, this kiddie meal only cost me around P150.00 I think together with the drink, so yay! I got a happy tummy and happy money! What.

And this is what I wore!

This skirt looks and feels Christmas-y, but it doesn’t matter because it’s cute and it didn’t matter because mom wanted me to wear it (since she bought it for me!)

Starmobile Crystal

This year, my family and I changed our phones. My mom got her sweet iPhone 5 from the Globe plan and I love how she has internet everywhere she goes now!! My sister got herself the Samsung Galaxy S3 because she is earning her own money now and buying stuff. Huhu. My dad, my other sister, and I got the cheapest ones from the brand Starmobile.

But don’t be discouraged by the word cheap!! I am a very practical person and yes, a lot of times cheap hahaha, but I love this phone!! It depends on the stuff naman! Heck, I loved all the gadgets I have owned (not sure if owning or getting attached to it came first but it’s still love, baby)! 2 years ago I got the Samsung Punch in pink which then cost P4k and I loved it. Now it’s full of scratches and the keypad’s color has chipped off in some parts but it still works fine. Even without the smartphone features it worked for me because I already had my iPod then, anyway.

The reason we changed phones I’m not sure why, but I guess we got lured by all of these smartphones coming into surface. I decided to write about it because I’ve heard a lot of compliments from friends and stuff and they would be surprised by how cheap it costs!
Anyway, to finally introduce my phone (my dad and I have the same one), the STARMOBILE CRYSTAL!

(from Happy Man by Starmobile)

At first glance you would think that it’s the black version of S3, right?! Well before it used to!
The best parts of the phone is that:
√ slim, sleek design (though the S3 is slimmer by a bit and is lighter)
√ dual sim phone (my last phone was already dual sim, why would I go back to a one sim phone? That’s a lot of hassle since I also got my iPod. Well boo you s3 and iPhone for this hahaha) p.s. you can use only 1 sim and it will still work perfectly fine
√ 8 megapixel camera (I mean, C’MON!! I’m so happy hihi now my instagram photos are a lot better because I don’t use my iPod Touch’s crappy camera anyomore lol /firstworldproblems)
√ runs on Android (Smartphone, baby!! Plus it’s nice to try android since I already have ios)
√ smooth touch interface (phones these days have definitely improved their touch!) Not much lagging, you can type really fast, except when charging. Plus you can use a ball point stylus pen
√ memory card storage
√ P7,000.00 ONLY (All of these for P7k, pretty awesome right??? And that was 3 months ago!! Imagine the price now)
* it also comes with a silicon case and screen protector. But I ought not to use the case because it makes the buttons harder to press and it makes it more bulky
So yes, I’m pretty happy with my phone!! It’s so practical and fits me well!

× The only downside is the BATTERY!!! Starmobile should produce longer lasting batteries!! I mean, how can you enjoy a smartphone that drains its battery easily?? They should release better batteries even for phones like this, which have been out a long time. I would love to buy new better batteries than a new phone!

Anyway, I’ll be updating this post for all the remaking I’m gonna be doing when it comes to its appearance (android)! Hehe

The first time I got it I installed the wp launcher 8 which makes it look like a windows 8 phone, because at the time I was still raving for the Surface Pro.

After some time I wanted a change of look and I made it simple. This is how it looks right now (when I made this post):

*Sorry for the small photo, it’s not supposed to be this small but tumblr made it so!

Next time I’ll probably use the Go Launcher because it offers a lot themes and widgets (which is now, lol this has been on queue/private post since I haven’t had the chance to upload the photos)!

I also love how my messages would look like this because when I place a picture on my contact. (Left pic was how it is originally, right pic is using Go SMS Pro)

I’ll probably go back to simpler themes though, or maybe find a new launcher since my phone is kind of laggy now because of all the stuff I downloaded and installed. I tend to get excited revamping hihi.

AS OF 5/17/13, using Smart Launcher Pro:

AS OF 5/19/13, switched back to the basic launcher because Smart Launcher Pro drained my battery too much and I’m too lazy to find other launchers again and redoing the whole appearance. I don’t wanna risk the lagging and the battery drain for now.

[This phone was previously compared to Cherry Mobile’s Flare which <hr<mcost P4000.00. Both were sold out a couple of times.]

My sister on the other hand, got the Starmobile Flirt which is a little more pricey because it is a later model (s:he got her phone last). It cost P10, 000.00 with almost the same features except it’s a square-ish version that comes in red and blue, and has a 12 megapixel camera.

I don’t know if they still sell this since Star Mobile has released a lot of new phones since, I think.

Last week, I found this pair of cute earrings! I like stud earrings because it’s an everyday wear.

image

And then F21 had a lot of rings displayed and if you know me, I love rings!! I love them, but they don’t love me. Lol every time I find rings that I like they’re always too big for me. But this one is just too pretty to let go of! It’s an everyday ring I can use. It’s still too big for my ring finger but at least it doesn’t fall out from my fore and middle fingers. So I can work with that. I wanted to buy another one, but the design I liked even if it was also a size 6 (the smallest they have) was too big for any of my fingers. So, boohoo. I only have 4 rings, I think, that I can wear without fear of losing them because even if they don’t fit me well, they at least get stuck in my knuckles.

I’m excited to wear these on regular days! I hope the color doesn’t fade too easily.

What I wore to the Close Up Summer Solstice music festival!

Shaq and I decided to go matchy matchy though it’s not very obvious. Our matchy matchy meant wearing a sleeveless top, denim shorts, chucks, and body bag. Since it’s summer and it was kind of a concert, more skin and hassle free clothes was the way to go!

image

I decided to wear one of my favorite sleeveless tops from Above paired with my denim shorts from Bubbles and my trusty red sneakers from Converse. I’m most comfortable in shorts and yes, it was easy to move around! Then I used my bag from Gucci so my hands could be free.

image

image

The best thing about this bag? You can lock it!! I thought, in concerts wherein you lose yourself why not wear something more secure? Woot. Watch from Esprit, red cuff from 168, black cuff from The Bead Shop, sunnies from Evita Peroni (my mom’s), and necklace from my sister.

Close Up Summer Solstice Music Festival

My friend Shaq invited me to the Close Up Summer Solstice music festival because she got two free gold/GA tickets! My perfume got confiscated at the entrance. :< goodbye, Victoria’s Secret Pink!!

imageWe got there a little early and at first, we gathered around with the other audience, but after a while the smoke and the heat and the crowded place got overwhelming and so we decided to stay by the food stalls. Personally, I loved it there but not just because of the food okay!!image

It was nice there because we were just sitting and chilling and it was windy that you can breathe without inhaling second hand smoke and move without touching the people around you. Okay, maybe we’re a bit antisocial too. We’re not the party people kind of people anyway (or at least I’m not hahaha). Plus you can still hear the music anyway and see a bit of the stage, plus the live screens. There was not much of a performance anyway, more on just singing and playing music and so it really had the chill vibe (for me).

The sky was extraordinary. Beautiful colors. I did not edit those pictures. Too lazy hahaha it’s the real thang.

WE also walked around the place to see what else is up, got pictures taken and got free drinks, and free tooth paste!! Hahaha.

This was when Cobra Starship was playing. They had a booth up there.

It is as close to a Coachella thing we can get to right now, and it was good!

I used to love to write. To blog. About anything. And everything. I felt so free every time I did, as if my emotions were flying with the wind. However things have changed, and writing about my deepest darkest feelings have gone from liberating to suffocating. It’s just different now. It doesn’t feel good to be judged especially by those close to you. And that is why the first time I set up this blog my caption was “no sappy feelings” and stuff like that.

Mostly because it’s scary what the people out there can do. Also, my life is nowhere interesting anyway. I’d probably just rave about things normal teenagers do - but I don’t really have a teenage life so to say. I’d most likely rant about school and I’d pretty much convinced myself that this is not the outlet for it.

And since it’s summer, my forever revamping-becoming active again-season, I’ll be trying againLol.

IT’S SUMMER!! Some summer outfits “suggestions” hahaha haven’t watched this video because I’m an awkward potato.

Dove Girl

image

I’m a Dove girl. These are some of the products that I currently use from Dove. The main reason why I came to love this brand is because of my sensitive skin. Not being plain maarte or what, but I’ve had skin asthma since I was young. The dermatologists I sought for help when things went really bad (I’m such a lazy ass I usually don’t go back for follow ups) would give me all these expensive products to use, but one of the common things they would tell me was to use the unscented Dove soap (or an oatmeal soap or the other liquid soap the derma herself sells).

Seeing how they recommend it made an impact and I guess I just got attached to the brand. My aunt also used to give us the really big shampoos and liquid soaps and it just felt good to use, like you just wanna take a lot of it on your hand hahaha!

And look at the deodorant! It’s for sensitive skin and is unscented which is perfect for me! I remember when I used Nivea, the scent was too strong it hurt my nose, lol I have allergies. Before this one, I got the Go Fresh bottle but when I found out about this Pure, I knew it was for me.

I used to not use lotion but I’ve become more conscious in the past few years. Aside from having “hypersensitive skin” - that’s what the derma called it, I am also not a water drinker and so imagine my already bad skin which is also deprived of water. I can feel my skin crack because of its dryness lol. I swear there was a time my skin looked really scaly, ewww. Plus the dermas always require me to put this kind and that kind of lotions which are so expensive! I don’t really follow the exact thing they give me anymore and just go for whatever lotion is on the market.
